Yes: You must brush at the gum line to prevent periodontal disease. However, use a soft toothbrush (the best is nimbus (nimbusdental.Com) and a non-abrasive toothpaste. Check to see why the enamel is eroding.

Gum erosion can be from overly aggressive brushing, using a hard toothbrush, abfrac ions from malocclusion, and/or gum disease. Please seek professional examination from your General Dentist or a gum specialist Periodontist.
