Yes: there are many potential causes, and i would encourage you to be seen; but you are right, the liver is in the right upper quadrant and can cause pain in the area, as can ulcer disease. Many other potential causes such as pleurisy, pneumonia, gall stones, costochondriitis, etc. an exam and appropriate studies can usually determine the cause.

Constant right sided burning rib/back pain. Worse with activity. Both sides of abdomen feel pinching. going on for two months now. Cant sleep or eat much. Lost 20 pounds. Dr assumes ulcer. Im on Prilosec. What could it be?
WHAT and WHERE does the pain feel like from problems with the spleen. Can it ever be a burning/pinching sensation. And does it make the ribs sore to touch? My abdomen is hurting but not sore when touched but have some rib tenderness and back pain.
My chest is painful with a slight burning sensation, I am coughing with a sore throat. My body also hurts especially my abdomen, back and legs.
