Unfortunately No.: Unfortunately breast cancer can skip the lymph nodes and metastasize to other parts of the body. This happens relatively rarely but has been seen. The risk of cancer in ither parts of the body is much lower if the lymph nodes are clear, but it is not impossible.

Yes and No: That is the course 90% of the time. But some tumors do skip regional nodes and go via blood stream and end up in internal organs without involving the regional nodes. So we have to look out for both routes for cancer spread.

The: vast majority of the time that is true, but rarely there are metastases that occur that seem to have bypassed the lymph nodes. This may be due to spread via the bloodstream rather than the lymphatics.
