No.: No. Meloxicam need be taken once daily usually supper and acts 24hrs Naproxen has to be ingested twice daily. Side effect profiles are similar, but several european studies agree with my view that Meloxicam is safer. Nonethless both increase risk for GI bleed, fluid retention, and can adversely affect kidneys. If taken chronically, you need to be monitored every three months.
