Stop otc spray: Rhinitis medicamentosa is caused by over the nose spray as a rebound type response usually using nose spray more than 5 days .To resolve this in the future stop over counter decongestant nosespray at 4 days .If rhinitis already exists use only saline nose spray and steroid nose spray and it usually resolves if not see ENT doctor

Hold spray f/u w doc: Biorinil is similar to the steroid nasal sprays in the US. Steroid sprays usually help to decrease the inflammation assoc w/ rhinitis. Chronic use of decongestant nasal sprays can eventually cause worsened rhinitis and congestion - rhinitis medicamentosa. Discuss with your ENT, the ingredients. Discontinue. Also, if sinusitis, may need an antibiotic and the sinus infxn getting worse.
