Not as such.: But your ability to have children will be much lower if the normal hormonal cycle is not maintained. Also, not having normal cycles increases the risk of uterine cancer (although about 5% of women in the US have PCOS... and about 500 die from uterine cancer under age 40 per year.... so....that risk is slightly higher than lightning and about the same as deaths from wild animals in the US.

No: PCOS is known to cause irregular menstruation, sometimes no period for consecutive months.
