Everyone is unique: I am sorry to hear that your cold sore outbreaks are especially bad. Some people just have worse outbreaks than others. If you have such severe outbreaks, do your best to avoid stress, and go to your doctor at the first sign of a cold sore. Acyclovir if prescribed within the first 48 hours has been shown to decrease the length and severity of outbreaks. Hope this helps!
