My pcp seems to be giving up. had fusion l4-s1 feb 2014. was doing great, got flu, and worsening since then. is it out of line to ask surgeon for mri?

Back pain: Need more information. Is it your back pain that is worsening? The flu is not related - perhaps you had a failed fusion if you are still having pain. I recommend that you see your neurosurgeon for a followup visit. Be sure to mention if you have any numbness/tingling with pain. An MRI may be warranted.
