Monitor for now: Both Zoloft and Effexor (venlafaxine) can affect your appetite and Effexor (venlafaxine) is associated with weight loss. So monitor for any worsening symptoms.

No: losing weight is possible on these medications but you need to check with your provider to see if you should be on two drugs in the same family which could cause some problems like serontonin syndrome Please check with provider but I do see weight loss with some antidepressants (sometimes they gain weight)
