How long does it take for a c-section incision to completely closed and once it's completely closed can it still get infected or re-open?

Varies: It takes about a month to get half the strength back in the skin at the site of the cesarean incision. It takes about 6 months to get full strength. The skin incision begins to grow together and heal in just a few hours but during the first two weeks it would be relatively easy to disrupt the incision. Once closed and healed for about a week the risk of infection is very very low.
