You're okay: So long as you aren't taking any narcotic medication, which I doubt you are, this far away from your surgery, then you are okay to drive. By 5 weeks most women are solely taking ibuprofen for pain. I wouldn't worry about you driving at this point for a second. Be well!

URIntheDriver'sSeat: You wait any longer and the baby'll be driving ('Where to, Mom?'). If your energy and concentration are back and you can get in and out of the car OK and overall you feel pretty good and your tummy is not too painful then push baby aside and start driving. Best to start slow. Just practice getting in and out, then drive a short distance, etc. Pretty soon you'll be ready for the Daytona 500.
