First check for UTI: The very first thing to do is to make sure it is not an infection. Get checked today. A urinary tract infection in a Type I diabetic needs to b e treated promptly Check your blood sugars, if they start rising more than usual, go to the ER. But see somebody today to have your urine checked.

Infection: It is infection. One cannot just determine they have no infection without testing the urethra or urine or both.
