Why can't my neurologist confirm or deny that a car accident caused my seizure? my test results all came back normal.

Frustrating!!!: Did the seizure cause the accident or did the accident cause the seizure? Unfortunately it is impossible to tell with complete certainty. Although you may remember everything before the accident, your doctor may be reluctant to say that the accident caused the seizure. Despite negative testing, you remain at risk for seizures and should probably not drive until cleared by your doctor.

Trouble with tests: This has to do with the tests- they cannot answer every question. Especially when the results are normal. For example: If the MRI showed an injury to the brain, or the EEG showed a focal abnormality, related to an injury from the accident, then the answer = yes. But if the tests are normal, the answer is indeterminate.
