Decrease Carbs: High carbohydrate foods (such as bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, corn, beer, soda and sugars- like cookies, candy and cake) increase insulin resistance and contribute to belly fat and excess body weight. Make sure to get 60 grams a day of high quality protein from fish, chicken, tofu, eggs, dairy products or meat, and also eat vegetables and walk or exercise 60 minutes a day for healthy weight.
