Can a tooth infection cause really high blood pressure? my blood pressure is around 170/106.

No/Yes: It is not the infection cause the high blood pressure, but the pain and anxiety pump up the blood pressure is not uncommon.

Not that high: Pain and anxiety can raise one's blood pressure, but when the systolic number is over 160 or the diastolic is over 100, the is unlikely all related to pain or "white coat" hypertension. I would talk to your doctor if your blood pressure has been that high at your dentist's office. He/she will want to recheck that ASAP. Phenylephrine can raise blood pressure a bit too, but not that much.

Definitely, yes: It is called the "reactive blood pressure" due to stress. Ask your physician for a blood pressure diary chart.
