Avoid decongestants: Decongestants are vasoconstrictors, so in general, they should be avoided. If you have allergies as a risk factor for sinusitis, antihistamines might be helpful. No decongestants: Saline nasalspray, a cool mist vaporizer and an antihistamine (clartitin 10 mg, allegra180mg or zyrtec (cetirizine) 10mg.).
