Virus: Molluscum is a viral rash, somewhat like a wart and with time it goes away on its own, often after 6 months without scarring . Sometimes it is treated with podophyllin or cryotherapy. There is another medication, imiquimod 5% cream which has been used. It is better to let it resolve on its own unless disfiguring or otherwise troubling. Ask your doctor about your options and all the best.
