I was diagnosed with g a d.i am on8mg valium and 15mg lexapro (escitalopram) and zispin.my phys told me to continue with med.should i give up valium. thanks?

No: Coordinate what you do with the doctor. you might get off the valium, but not likely and you would want to experiment with a lower dose first if you did. I am very reluctant to stop valium if it seems to be working

Not abruptly.: Abruptly stopping Valium is unwise. That can worsen anxiety, or even cause withdrawal syndrome, even seizures. If your doctor recommends that you discontinue it, he will tell you how to slowly reduce the dose.
