Prediabetic?: If you have an elevated fasting glucose (>100) and Hba1c above 5.7%, you may be pre-diabetic. As people develop Type 2 diabetes they become "insulin resistant" (the pancreas makes insulin, but the insulin doesn't work correctly). As a result, the pancrease (pancrelipase) makes more insulin to compensate. This results in weight gain, high triglycerides, low HDL cholesterol, hypertension, and high sugars.

Test results: No, there is no reason to think your liver function is impaired. This does not affect the HGB A1C or the urine. If your blood sugar is elevated, it can cause you to urinate and feel dizzy. If it is significantly elevated, then a plan may be needed to help- such as exercise, nutrition, and possibly medication. Did your doctor give you a plan including any of these?
