Spotting (scanty bleeding) came on the exact time of expected withdrawal bleed. negative pregnancy test 18 days after sex. is this normal? (i'm on bc)

Breakthrough bleed: is possible; however, if having severe bleeding get checked and if you miss a complete cycle- get a pelvic exam. Worth rechecking pregnacy blood test if no cycle next month.

Yes: Any bleeding at all during the inactive portion of an oral contraceptive cycle is considered normal. One benefit of the pill is that the periods are usually lighter.
