A member asked:

Why do so many people fail the moca? my psychology class was tested and a lot of people failed even though most are below age 25

Screening tool: The MoCA is a screening tool for mild cognitive impairment. It is not specific for alzheimers. As with all screening tools, the test will have a larger group of people that it indicates need further evaluation then really have any cognitive issues. This is important in screening tests to avoid "missing" those who do have issues. A screening tool is designed to reduce false-negatives.
