More information..: Usually in renal failure BUN and creatinine, especially creatinine are elevated. If they are normal as well as your GFR which defines how your kidneys are filtering waste products from your blood then there is no renal failure. However, if there is protein in your urine and no infection and if in significant amounts this would need to be checked for kidney damage. We would need to know about this.
