You do not say what your running injury affected - feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hips, buttocks are back ??? All can be affected by running. However, all can benefit from exercising in a pool for recovery. Buy some ankle weights and try walking then progress to running in a pool. It is quite hard to do and gives a great workout that does not cause more injury.
