PAS or giemsa stain: it's either a dermatophyte (fungal infection) or erythrasma (caused by coryneform bacteria), most likely. Could be other things like Hailey-Hailey. Itchy? Are you a diabetic? Sometimes, pretreated fungal infections reveal no fungi.
