How to find a good psychiatrist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Here are some ideas: 1. Most people want doctors on their insurance, so if you have a list to work from, that might be a good start. 2. Try calling the psychiatry dept at a nearby medical center, & ask if any staff (or "faculty") psychiatrists are taking new office patients. Such docs are already vetted by their hospital. 3. Word of mouth from family or friend. 4. Search doctor websites online. Good luck.
