See doctor: You need to describe your periods and if the pain is related. Do meals aggrevate or allevaite the pain? The lower abdomen is usually female related, but a pelvic examination will help. Are your bowel movements normal and your appetite good? Is the swelling gas in your intestines? The situation needs a thorough evaluation by a doctor with laboratory and maybe imaging tests.
