Hiccups: Hiccups are very normal. They happen due to activation of the phrenic nerve and the phrenic nerve innervates the diaphragm which bounces up and down. Spitting up is also very normal in infants. You may try to keep pt elevated after feeds to decrease spitting up. I would not worry unless pt is actively vomiting, losing weight, not acting well.
