Intolerance: This is not the same as allergy. Sometimes when food is consumed the first time, your body may not tolerate it for various reasons. I suggest you wait a couple of days and re-introduce it. Try not to give it at a time when she is already full. Also, it may just have been a coincidence if she was already having a stomach virus at the time it was given.

Many possible causes: 1st you must rule out a serious cause of vomiting. Therefore, if she's still vomiting please take her to the ED for further eval. Infants often refuse or don't tolerate 1st foods & usually it takes 5-10 different tries before they "accept" the solid food as they transition from breast/formula to solids. I suggest multigrain or whole grain cereals mixed with breast milk, formula, or H2O

Several things: How much did you feed her/how much did she eat? At first only an ounce or 2 max to see how she does. Is your water source secure? Any chance water or formula made to mix rice cereal a problem? Rice allergy very rare. Is this her first semisolid food? How thick was the rice cereal mix you fed? Soupy best to start. Do not feed again until you discuss with her healthcare provider. Best of luck
