Yes-so serious that:: The side effects of the lyme disease vaccine were so serious that it was withdrawn from the market in 2002. While only a small percentage developed serious side effects like arthritis and flu-like symptoms and it is not clear to what extent they were caused by the vaccine, t here were class-action lawsuits& bad publicity, sales plummeted and the manufacturer withdrew it from the market.

No more used: Lyme disease vaccine was withdrawn from the market many years ago and is not used and is not available these days due to serious side effects was withdrawn in 2002 There were life threatening complications and hospitalization and causing lyme arthritis in certain patients
