A member asked:

Can i get lyme vaccine and go into the woods the same day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: You can't even get vaccinated in the first place. The vaccine for lyme disease is no longer available. It was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2002, citing low demand. People who were previously vaccinated are no longer protected. Most cases of lyme disease can be treated successfully with a few weeks of antibiotics, however, as long as it is caught in time.
