Optimistic: If you are on birth control, this could just be a normal hormonal fluctuation or breakthrough bleed. If you are not on birth control this could still be due to hormonal fluctuation. Your period can come early for this reason. If there is concern for pregnancy a home pregnancy test would be advised. Please see your doctor when you can or to the Emergency Room if you are having severe pain.
