Constant upper left ab. pain, dr suspects ulcer but it doesn't feel better to eat, even hurts to drink water. taking prescription ppi day 4 no relief!

Healing takes a bit: cannot say in your particular case without an exam and... changes in pain with pressing or manipulating an area gives a good indication of its cause. If swallowing triggers a pain then something in the digestive tract is likely the cause. Reflux is quite common and often requires up to a few weeks for a PPI to heal it.

Ulcer: It may not be long enough for your PPI to have results. I would suggest you ask your physician as to when you should notice some improvement of symptoms with current medication.
