A member asked:

Can you tell me if on an mri, what does cnt mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Contrast: Usually with an MRI or CT scan when the abbreviation CNT is listed it means that the test was done with contrast. Contrast is a substance that is usually injected into the vein that shows up certain structures more clearly. On a CT sometimes the contrast is given orally meaning you drink the contrast.
