Genetic tests: Yes. For example if you are taller that your relatives then you have the taller gene. Easy way to test for this is to measure what you think might be genetically determined such as how long a index finger is. They you measure this is 100 sets of identical twins and 100 sets of DZ twins. If length is closer in MZ twins that DZ twins that is strong proof of a genetic effect.
