Radiated pain...: Q may relate to a phenomenon that occurs in the body known as pain radiation. Pathology in one area causes pain in another. Typical example is pain in the left upper quadrant of abdomen irritating the left side of diaphragm (the muscle that separatesl the chest and abdominal cavities, and the strongest and largest in the body, and you can't see it!). Pain is experienced in left shoulder.
