A member asked:

Are there organ transplants can be rejected by the body if the donor tissue is too different from the host. can bone transplants be rejected too?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bone is different: In vascularized organ higher the differences in human leukocyte antigen between recipient and the donor greater the chances of having rejection....bone is not vascularized organ....acts differently
