Vulvar dermatologist prescribed tacrolimus for itchy skin that looks fine. Itch is only at the left side of vagina opening caused by yeast infection. After using cream, skin became red & more itchy despite diluting with plain moisturiser. How?
I'm on day three of metronidazole cream of seven days. Itching usually almost gone by this time. Burning is gone. How long will it take to be relieved?
Gardnerella vaginalis 6.0 log cells/ml on swab 3 weeks after completing 5 day vaginal metronidazole gel treatment. Now prescribed vaginal clindamycin cream 7 days. Is this likely to work better? What would be a 3rd line treatment in case of failure?
