A member asked:

I have pain in my right side, have had mri an blood work done and they found no cause for it i have no gallbladder an no appendix an they ruled out ca?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No cancer: The tests you have had done are the most effective in ruling out cancer. Sometimes it is very difficult to explain just what is causing a pain. A CT with contrast might discover diverticulitis. A colonoscopy might detect the same or polyps. if the pain persists, then other tests might be done. Rarely when nothing can be found and the pain is serious enough it might be reasonable to operate
