A member asked:

Does the breast have to have dimpling or puckering at site of mass for it to be cancer?

NO symptoms if early: Early stage breast cancer is usually undetectable meaning: 'can't see it or touch it'. So you see that is why mammograms are so important: they can detect cancer in its earliest stages before it has spread or caused major symptoms. Please get a yearly mammogram early detection saves lives.

No: Any mass in the breast needs to be examined, preferably with a biopsy to rule out cancer. Dipling or puckering increases the liklihood of the mass being cancer, but lack of such features does not exclude cancer.
