Swimmer's ear?: acetic acid in alcohol will usually help. you can go to the drug store and ask for swimmer's otic. however, you can't diagnose an external otalgia without looking in the ear. A doctor will but a wick in your ear allowing the ear drops to stay in the canal longer and you get better quicker. if it is an inner ear problem you will need antibiotics
