Why does behind the top/middle of my right ear hurt when it is touched?

Should see a doctor: Redness, pain, or swelling the the region above and behind the ear can possibly represent an infection which can be serious if it is allowed to spread. Would be seen by a doctor ASAP to have it checked. If you develop fever or ear swelling in the meantime I would visit the ER. Good luck!
