Sooner the better: With smoking, the sooner you quit the better for your health as well as your baby. The placenta will be better too the sooner you quit smoking. Good luck and congrats!

Quit now : Quit as soon as you can. You and your baby will be healthier for it. As for effects on the baby you have been smoking for 32 weeks, and that puts you at risk for preterm labor. You can quit. It will be hard but worth it.
