Sure it can: One or more tendons supporting the elbow are inflamed in tendonitis & this inflammation can be aggravated by various positions of the elbow. This is because the tendons have to do different amounts of work based on what the arm and hand are being asked to do, such as lifting. While your tendinitis is healing, avoid doing things that aggravate the pain, ice it, and take ibuprofen for several days.

Tennis elbow: Usually lifting up a suitcase or twisting a screwdriver and other such activities cause pain. You can go to a drug store or Walmart and get a tennis elbow strap to put pressure on the outside of the elbow where the pain is and take motrin 800 mg 3x/'day for the pain. It is called lateral epicondylitis. it will take several weeks to calm down
