I'm not sure: Where you are feeling in his neck or what. It could just be his hyoid bone or his thyroid cartilege. It could be a cyst. Go get him checked out and ease your mind. Lymphoma is way wAy down on the list of possibilities.

Sounds like it: lymph nodes are round firm swellings. There are bones in the neck protecting the breating tube. It seems you have found one. Ask your doctor about it during the next check-up but it doesn't sound urgent
