See an ENT: Many people with sinusitis wind up with the wrong diagnosis or use treatments that aren't likely to help. To receive the best care, you should always first consult your primary care physician, and he/she might refer you to an ENT. Ask your adult guardian to make an appointment.

Sinusitis: The best treatment is attempting to have the sinuses drain better. This can be achieved with gentle saline sprays and steroid nasal solutions. If the problem is severe your doctor may recommend steroids by mouth for a 5-7 day course. As it is closed space getting antibiotics into the area is difficult but may be tried. Some antibiotics work better than others. Surgery is a final option.
