A member asked:

If my lupus is "in remission" does that mean my immune system is functioning normally? or will it still funct differently than a normal immune system?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Still abnormal: Lupus in remission does not equal normal immune seem. Unfortunately, the system is now primed to react to various proteins in the blood, and the disease pattern will be heterogenous. Good medical care can substantially reduce the morbidity associated with lupus so even if you feel reasonably well you need to keep up with your physicians!
