Local wound care: Local wound care usually involves washing with a gentle soap and water twice daily, applying antibiotic ointment and monitoring for signs of infection. Increased redness, swelling and pain, especially when combined with the appearance of pus indicates an infection which should be evaluated by a primary care physician.

Depends: Paronychial infection can be due to ingrown toenails, or abscess formation, which treatment varies depending on the cause of your toe infection. Antibiotics, removal of the underlying cause(s), such as removal of ingrown toenail, or drainage of the abscess are some of the treatment modalities.

I'm not sure alcohol: Or hydrogen peroxide would actually do much. Topical antibiotic may help a little but if the infection is caused by an abcess it needs to be drained, if caused by ingrown nail it needs to be removed, if the infection is bad, it may need an oral antibiotic. You can try soaking in hot water (don't burn yourself) as the skin will become softer and by squeezing you may be able to drain abcess and cut
