Chills: Your child may have an occult infection that is not apparent to you. Therefore, take him to the doctor or ER so he can be properly examined and treated

See pediatrician: Your son may be having infection (probably viral),this will last for 2-3 days and then subsides .He may or may not get any cough ,sore throat or running nose in a day or so.Consult your pediatrician and get your son examined by him to know the reason of illness.

Rule out UTI: One of the more important cause of high fevers with chills are urinary tract infections or UTI, for which your son should be checked by his doctor soon for urine and possibly blood tests and to start therapy as indicated.
