Is western blot test capable of detecting hiv antibodies from a blood sample that was taken 2-3 days ago?

Yes, but...: As long as the blood sample was stored properly so that the antibodies were not broken down by high heat or freeze and thaw. If you have symptoms of acute HIV as you describe (fever, swollen lymph nodes, and flu like symptoms), then the western blot is not the best HIV test to detect brand new HIV. Get a 4th generation HIV test, or a HIV viral load along with an older antibody HIV test.
