Yes: Chronic alcohol ingestion can induce production of hepatic microsomal enzymes. Depending on the amount, frequency and length of your alcohol intake, there may be hepatic injury, cirrhosis bleeding diasthesis, and withdrawal symptoms, such as delirium tremens.

After alcohol...: Yes, absolutely after quitting drinking you might experience many changes as a result of prolonged drinking. Physical and psychological after drinking and quitting can result as the new adjustment of your body and mind ensues. If you are not under medical care it is time to do so as well as mental health close follow up.
